The WFT Slide-in Module Media Converter is designed to fit into a series of Fiber Media Converter Chassis (WM-R1619S) for use at a central wiring closet. The converter slot is connected directly to the chassis mainboard without power cable. The converter works by simply repeatingthe signals from 10/100Base-TX to suitable format for transmission over fiber cables to the 100Base-FX link. Simply upgrade twisted pair networks to fiber and the problems of difficult installations associated with traditional converters.
