Properties :

1. Imidazole is white crystal or flake.

2. Imidazole is easily soluble in water and alcohol, slightly soluble in benzene, hardly soluble in petroleum ether.

3. Imidazole is toxic, pungent and corrosive to skin and mucous membrane.

 

Use :

1. Imidazole can be used as the pharmaceutical intermediates, for synthesis of miconazole, econazole, clotrimazole, ketoconazole and so on.

2. Imidazole is also the pestivides intermediates, for the synthesis of procheloraz.

3. Imidazole can be used as curing agent of epoxy resin.
