作用：合成的广谱、高效驱肠虫药。通过抑制胆碱酯酶，使虫体肌肉强烈收缩，并导致痉挛性麻痹；但不引起蛔虫骚动。本品是去极化神经肌肉阻滞剂，具有明显的烟碱样活性，也能抑制胆碱酯酶，使乙酰胆碱堆积，导致虫体痉挛性麻痹而排出体外；另外，它可使虫体单个细胞去极化，峰电位发放频率增加，肌张力亦增加，使虫体失去自主活动。与哌嗪不同的是其作用快，先显著收缩，其后麻痹不动。 蛔虫、钩虫、蛲虫及其混合感染，以驱钩虫疗效最佳。
